ACCOUNT & PHOTO RETOUCHING QUERIES
What types of photos can I upload?
You can upload .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tiff, .gif, .bmp
What is the best type of photo to upload?
Put simply, the more megapixels a camera has, the larger the file and the better quality the retouch will be. Most customers are using a camera with 5 or more megapixels which provides a high quality retouched photo. Most customers upload JPGs and are very happy with the result. However as JPGs lose their quality each time they are altered and resaved, try to keep your own editing and cropping to a minimum, if any. For the best result, upload your picture straight from your digital camera or hard drive as soon as possible. For those of you that want more information, see the blog post on JPGs.

When do I receive my retouched photo?
Photos will be retouched within 48 hours. If for some reason this is not possible we will let you know.
How do I retrieve my photos once they have been retouched?
You will receive an email once the photos have been retouched. Follow the link in the email to log into your account and download your photos from www.photolate.com
How long are my photos stored for?
Photos are stored for 2 weeks once they have been retouched. We regret we are unable to store the photos for longer so make sure you create your own backup.
Where can I use my retouched photo?
Anywhere; it’s up to you! We recommended using an impressive photo for online profile and dating pics, company bios etc. Your photo will also print as normal so will look great in a frame on the wall too.
What if I’m not happy with the retouched photo?
We always aim for the highest quality in our retouching process. For example, if we think the photo itself is not of good enough quality, we will let you know before we start the retouch. If you are not happy with the retouch we will do our utmost to ensure you are happy with the results at no extra charge.
How do I pay for my photo retouching?

When you checkout you will be taken securely to Paypal and asked to login and pay. You can pay using your credit/debit card, or using your Paypal account. TROUBLESHOOTING
What is the error message I get when uploading my photos?
This error means the photo is not the right size for the website. It is either too small and will not provide a high quality retouch or it is too large. In this case, we would ask you to reduce the photo to be under 20mb.
I haven`t received my photos. Where are they?
When you placed your order, you should have received two emails: one from Photolate (confirming your order) and one from Paypal (confirming your payment). If you did not receive both of these please contact us. If it has been over 48 hours since you placed your order please also contact us.
